Domestic Violence

On average, nearly 20 people per minute are physically abused by an intimate partner in the United States. During one year, this equates to more than 10 million women and men. 1 in 15 children are exposed to intimate partner violence each year, and 90% of these children are eyewitnesses to this violence.

Women Empowerment

Women's empowerment is the process of empowering women. It may be defined in several ways, including accepting women's viewpoints or making an effort to seek them, raising the status of women through education, awareness, literacy, and training

At-Risk Youth

325,000 children are at risk of becoming victims of exploitation. Nearly 40% of children in the United States live in low-income families with incomes at or below 200% of the federal poverty level. Children who live in communities with high levels of poverty are four times more likely to be chronically absent. Reasons for this include unstable housing, unreliable transportation, and a lack of access to health care.

Homeless

552,830 Americans are homeless and needlessly suffering. That's 1 in every 588 Americans . Over 194,467 people will sleep on the street across the USA tonight. These ten states with the highest homeless rates account for 55% of the homeless population - CA, NY, FL, TX, WA, MA, OR, PA, IL, CO.

Veterans

Roughly 45% of all homeless veterans are African American or Hispanic, despite only accounting for 10.4% and 3.4% of the U.S. veteran population, respectively. About 1.4 million veterans, are considered at risk of homelessness due to an extreme shortage of affordable housing, livable income and access to health care – a large number of displaced and at-risk veterans live with lingering effects of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and substance abuse, which are compounded by a lack of family and social support networks.

Cancer Survivors

In 2019, 1,762,450 new cancer cases and 606,880 cancer deaths are projected to occur in the United States. Cancer is a major public health problem worldwide and is the second leading cause of death in the United States.
